Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

Two late 19th or early 20th-century glass tablewares with metal mounts. The larger item is a biscuit barrel with a moulded glass body featuring a wavy optical pattern, fitted with a silver-plated mount comprising a swing handle and a matching lid with a spherical finial. The design of the optical glass is in the style of pieces produced by Holmegaard. The smaller item is a condiment jar with a faceted cut-glass body and a metal lid featuring a circular central aperture. Both pieces are marked with small white and orange paper inventory labels bearing the numbers 3 and 278. No manufacturer marks or silver hallmarks are visible on the metal components.

Condition report:

Both items exhibit surface tarnish and oxidation to the metal and silver-plated components consistent with age. The glass bodies show minor surface abrasions and light scratches from use. No significant chips or cracks are observed. Adhesive labels remain on the surfaces.
