Lot 247: Myers, Bill et al. A Collection of Local History Books relating to Barrow-in-Furness and Cumbria.
An assortment of local history books and pamphlets primarily focused on Barrow-in-Furness and the surrounding Furness area in Cumbria. The collection comprises several softcover volumes and pamphlets including Memory Lane Barrow by Bill Myers, published by the North-West Evening Mail; The Furness Railway: A recollection by K. J. Norman, from the Railway Heritage series, which incorporates photographs from the Sankey Collection; and Barrow Village. Also included are Crabtree Stories of Barrow published by Cloud 9; As I Return To Yesteryear by Thomas Park Benson; and Down Memory Lane: Tales and short stories of the Good Old Days by Jennifer Snell and Jack Layfield. Further items include Raymond Sankey’s Cumbria Official Handbook and a pamphlet relating to Furness.
