Lot 246: A Collection of Vintage 7-Inch Vinyl Records
This auction lot comprises two boxes containing a collection of approximately several hundred vintage 7-inch vinyl singles (45 rpm). The records are primarily housed in various paper sleeves, including plain, generic, and record company-branded sleeves. Notable examples identified include Johnny Burnette (Dreamin / Cincinnati Fireball) on the London American Recordings label, The Rubettes (Baby I Know) on State Records, and 10cc (Good Morning Judge) on Mercury Records. The collection features UK pressings with labels consistently marked Made in England and including manufacturers such as Phonogram Ltd and State Records. The records are stored in two cardboard boxes.
Condition report:
The collection is in used condition. Paper sleeves exhibit signs of age-related wear including tanning, creasing, edge tears, and handling wear. The vinyl records show light surface marks and dust consistent with age and storage. A small green adhesive sticker is present on the label of the 10cc single.
