Two pieces of iridescent art glass. The first is a mushroom-form decorative object with a cap featuring a deep teal-blue base and a mottled, oil-on-water iridescent finish with highlights of gold, yellow, and blue. It is supported by a clear glass stem with a subtle iridescent sheen. The second item is a clear glass pyramidal paperweight containing an internal iridescent sphere that reflects a spectrum of colours including magenta, purple, green, and gold. Both items are created using hand-blown and formed glass techniques. The items are in the style of late 20th-century studio glass such as those produced by Isle of Wight Glass, Okra, or Stuart Abelman. Each piece bears a rectangular orange adhesive label with the handwritten number 166, and the mushroom stem has a small circular white label with the number 20. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good secondary market condition. No chips, cracks, or significant surface scratches are visible. There is minor adhesive residue present from labels.
