Lot 298: A Vintage White-Painted Wicker Laundry Hamper with Lid
A circular laundry hamper or waste basket of woven wicker construction with a white-painted finish. The piece features a removable lid with a spiral-woven pattern radiating from the centre. The cylindrical main body exhibits a vertical weave design. A small, illegible orange and white adhesive label is affixed to the centre of the lid. Items of this type were common domestic utility pieces throughout the mid-20th century.

The item is in used condition, showing visible surface wear and losses to the white paint finish consistent with age and domestic use. There is dust accumulation within the crevices of the wicker weave.
