Lot 282: A Vintage Portable Sewing Machine Carrying Case
A mid-20th century style portable sewing machine carrying case. The piece features a two-tone design with a domed, cream-coloured upper section and a contrasting red base. The case is constructed from a hard shell covered in a textured synthetic material. It is fitted with a light-coloured moulded plastic handle and metal hardware including hinges and latches. An orange adhesive sticker with the handwritten number 282 is present on the upper right side. No manufacturer’s marks or brand names are visible on the exterior of the case.
Condition report:
The case shows visible signs of age and use. There are numerous surface scuffs, dark rub marks, and general discoloration across the cream-coloured exterior. The red base exhibits some wear and minor loss of finish along the edges. The handle and metal components appear functional but show surface wear and light tarnish.
