This collection comprises three decorative items. The first is a square wall-hanging panel containing four ceramic tiles with a deep, mottled blue glaze. These tiles are set within a cast metal frame with a gilt-effect finish, featuring embossed geometric and beaded patterns in the Arts and Crafts style. The second item is an ornate rectangular picture frame in the Rococo Revival style, made from cast metal with a gold-toned finish. Its border is heavily decorated with pierced scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and floral motifs. The frame currently holds a grey backing board with handwritten notations indicating it is suitable for a 6 x 4 inch photograph. The third item is a circular picture frame with a gilt finish, featuring a wide border composed of overlapping, stylized sunburst rays or flower petals. All three items bear orange adhesive lot or price tags marked 99. No manufacturer’s marks or signatures are visible on the surfaces of these items.
Condition report:
The blue glazed tiles show visible surface wear, including multiple light scratches and small pitted marks in the glaze. The gilt metal frame surrounding the tiles has some light tarnishing and surface dust consistent with age. Both the ornate rectangular frame and the circular sunburst frame appear in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor surface wear and light rubbing to the gilt finishes.
