Lot 906: An Antique-style Silver Tea Strainer with Ebonised Wood Handle
A silver tea strainer designed in the form of a miniature seventeenth-century brazier. The circular bowl features a perforated base and is decorated with an embossed repoussé pattern of overlapping foliate and acanthus leaf motifs. It is supported by three cast feet and is fitted with a turned, ebonised wood handle secured by a silver ferrule. Indentations consistent with silver hallmarks are present on the exterior rim and body, though the specific characters and symbols are not clearly legible.

The silver shows surface tarnish and minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The ebonised wood handle is secure and in good condition. An orange lot tag is attached near the handle.
