A collection of brass military insignia for the King’s Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment). The grouping includes a cap badge featuring the regimental emblem of a lion passant guardant positioned above a horizontal title bar inscribed THE KING’S OWN. The badge is fitted with a vertical brass slider on the reverse for attachment to a cap. The collection also comprises curved brass shoulder titles inscribed KING’S OWN in block lettering, with integral fixing lugs on the reverse. Two separate brass badges depicting the lion passant guardant are included, one showing vertical fixing lugs at the top. This insignia set is characteristic of the British Army from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century.
Condition report:
The items are in good vintage condition with a natural aged brass patina throughout. There are signs of minor surface wear and oxidation consistent with age and service use. All visible attachment points, including the slider and lugs, appear to be intact.
