Lot 806: A Collection of Gold-Toned Costume Jewellery Earrings
An assortment of gold-toned costume jewellery earrings featuring various styles and components. The collection includes a pair of heart-shaped openwork filigree drop earrings with circular tops decorated with multi-coloured floral-style inlays. Also featured are large brilliant-cut colourless stones, likely cubic zirconia or glass, set in gold-toned multi-prong crown-style mounts. One of these stone studs is attached to a fine chain terminating in a faceted iridescent glass bead. The group further contains circular gold-toned studs with a textured sunburst pattern to the reverse and loose faceted clear glass beads. All items are designed for pierced ears with post fittings and include various friction backs, some with plastic disc reinforcements. No hallmarks or maker’s marks are visible.
Condition report:
The items show signs of wear consistent with age and use, including surface scratches and tarnish to the gold-toned finish. The collection is a mixture of matched pairs and individual components.
