Lot 804: A Trio of Mid-20th Century British Girl Guide and Brownie Metal Pins
A collection of three vintage British youth organisation pins comprising a Girl Guides Promise badge and two Brownie Imp patrol pins, dating from the mid-20th century. The Girl Guides badge is constructed from stamped brass-toned metal in a trefoil form, featuring the letters G and G within the upper leaves and a scroll at the base bearing the embossed text GIRL GUIDES. The Brownie scout pins each feature a cast brass-toned metal figure of a leaping Imp wearing a pointed cap, mounted onto a horizontal bar intended for use as a tie or lapel pin.
Condition report:
All items exhibit a natural aged patina with surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age and use. The horizontal bars on the Brownie pins show minor bending. The embossed details on all pieces remain clearly defined.
