Lot 684: A Pair of Chinoiserie Style Bamboo-Form Table Lamps
A pair of contemporary table lamps in the Chinoiserie style. Each lamp features a dark-finished, bamboo-form central shaft rising from a circular, reeded base with a dark metallic or resin patina. The lamps are fitted with matching tapered, pleated fabric shades in a light seafoam green colour. Each lamp is wired for use in the United Kingdom, fitted with a standard white UK 3-pin plug (Type G) and a gold-coloured inline thumb switch on the power cord. Small white manufacturer safety labels are attached to the cords, although the text is not clearly legible. No maker mark is clearly identifiable.
Condition report:
Both lamps appear to be in good overall condition. Small orange rectangular stickers with handwritten numbers are present on each shade. The fabric shades appear intact with no major visible staining or tears. All electrical items are sold as decorative objects only and it is recommended that they are tested by a qualified electrician (PAT tested) before use.
