Lot 683: A Trio of Assorted Vintage Table Lamp Bases Including Green Onyx and Brass Examples
This collection consists of three table lamp bases in varying materials and designs. The first lamp is constructed from turned green onyx with natural veining and features a square tiered base, fitted with a brass bayonet bulb holder and a white electrical lead with a standard white UK three-pin plug. The second is a polished brass column lamp featuring a slender turned stem on a heavy triangular base, fitted with a brown bayonet bulb holder and a brown electrical lead with a white/clear UK three-pin plug. The third is an ornate cast metal lamp with a gold-tone finish, decorated with scrolled foliate and acanthus leaf motifs and a white plastic candle-effect sleeve, fitted with a brown lead and a UK three-pin plug. No maker marks are visible on the bodies of the lamps. Each item bears an orange auction lot sticker numbered 683. Shades are not present.
Condition report:
The items are in good overall aesthetic condition with minor surface wear, light scratches, and oxidation consistent with age and previous use. All lamps are sold as untested and must be inspected and PAT certified by a qualified electrician before being put into service.
