Lot 534: A Trio of Contemporary Decorative Ceramic Garden Bowls
A trio of nested or graduated decorative ceramic bowls, likely intended for use as garden planters or interior ornaments. Each vessel is designed with a wide, shallow circular form and a substantial, flared rim. The exterior of each bowl features a broad, dark olive-brown glazed band around the upper wall, decorated with incised or slip-trailed foliate motifs in a contrasting cream colour. These designs include stylised scrolls, teardrop-shaped leaves, and clusters of dots. The interiors and the lower sections of the exterior are finished in a natural buff-toned clay with a matte texture. No maker marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the items.
Condition report:
The items are in good used condition. The rims exhibit a heavily weathered and textured finish consistent with intended style or outdoor use. Minor surface scuffs and general patina are present throughout. A small orange adhesive sticker is attached to the rim of the lowermost bowl. No significant chips or cracks are visible from the primary inspection.
