Lot 50: Kyosho Fairwind Radio Controlled Model Sailboat
A large-scale Kyosho Fairwind radio-controlled (RC) model sailboat. The vessel features a moulded plastic or fibreglass hull in a light tan finish, prominently marked with the Fairwind name in black text along the side. The rig comprises a tall aluminium mast with matching mainsail and jib booms. The sails are constructed from a white synthetic fabric and include stitched reinforcements. The standing and running rigging consists of wire and cord lines with various metal tensioning components and attachment points. This model is designed for RC operation but is presented without a radio transmitter, internal servos, or a display stand.
Condition report:
The model appears structurally sound but shows signs of long-term storage, including a significant accumulation of surface dust and minor scuffs to the hull. The synthetic sails are heavily creased and exhibit light age-related discolouration. The rigging is slack and requires adjustment. The item is sold as an incomplete project, untested for electronic functionality.
