An Anglo-Indian circular side table or plant stand constructed from hand-carved solid hardwood. The table features a removable circular tray-top with a wide, deep-relief carved border of floral and foliate motifs. This border surrounds a recessed central section with a scalloped inner rim. The top sits upon a separate tripod base consisting of three interlocking curved legs with carved decoration. A white rectangular label marked 15 15 and an orange label marked 468 are affixed to the top surface. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible.
Condition report:
The item exhibits signs of age and wear consistent with use. The top surface displays several visible circular ring marks, surface scuffs, and finish wear, particularly to the centre. The carved details remain well-defined, although there is accumulated dust in the recesses. The interlocking base shows minor wear but remains functional.
