Lot 463: A Vintage Carved Oak Floor Lamp
A vintage turned oak floor lamp featuring a multi-part decorative column. The upper portion is designed with a series of turned knops and a central spherical element. The lower section of the column is detailed with a hand-carved acanthus leaf collar above a fluted, bulbous section. The lamp is supported by a circular, stepped, and moulded wooden base. It is fitted with a standard brass B22 bayonet bulb holder and a metal harp attachment for a lampshade. Two inventory stickers are present: a white label with the number 1 and an orange label with the number 463. No manufacturer’s marks or stamps are visible on the item. The lamp is fitted with a white power cord.
Condition report:
The wooden frame is in good overall condition with some light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with age and domestic use. The electrical components are untested; it is recommended that the item be inspected and PAT tested by a qualified electrician prior to use.
