A group of mahogany furniture items, primarily featuring a George III style torchere or pedestal stand, likely a late 19th or early 20th-century reproduction. The torchere is constructed from mahogany or a similarly stained hardwood with a dark finish. It features a circular top with a raised, carved pie-crust or scalloped rim, supported by a tall, slender central column with fluted sections and acanthus leaf carving. The stand rests on a tripod base of three cabriole legs with foliate-carved knees and claw-and-ball feet. The collection also includes a Victorian style tiered side table with a drawer and turned uprights, and a mahogany tripod wine table with a tilt-top. No maker’s marks or labels are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good condition, showing surface dust and minor scuffs consistent with age and use. An orange adhesive lot sticker is present on the top surface of the torchere. The structures appear sound.
