Lot 40: A Collection of Decorative Household Items Including Ceramics, Glass and Metalware
An assortment of decorative household objects including a ceramic cachepot, a frosted glass vase, a metal bucket, and a turquoise plastic basket. The ceramic cachepot is of cylindrical form with a slightly flared rim finished with a gold-tone band. It features a cream-coloured ground decorated with a transfer-printed central floral spray of roses and blossoms, framed by ornate scrolling foliate borders in a gilt-brown tone. A tall frosted glass sleeve vase of rectangular section is decorated with a foliate pattern left in clear glass against a frosted ground. Also included is a metal bucket, likely copper or brass, with a fixed handle, and a turquoise plastic open-weave basket. A second ceramic pot with a dark ground and floral motifs is partially visible behind the glass vase. The ceramic cachepot bears a small white label with the numbers 15 15 on the rim. All items feature orange auction lot stickers.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition. The ceramic cachepot shows minor surface wear to the gilt-tone rim. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible on the ceramic or glass pieces. The metal bucket displays surface wear and patination commensurate with age and use.
