A varied assortment of late 20th-century decorative household goods. The collection includes a large cylindrical storage canister in cream-glazed earthenware with relief-moulded interlacing Celtic-style knotwork to the body and a matching domed lid with a central knob finial. Included is a novelty glazed earthenware cookie jar modelled as a jack-o’-lantern pumpkin with a lid in the form of a green witch’s hat featuring orange and blue accents and hand-painted facial features. The lot further comprises a pair of chrome-plated wall sconces with conical metal shades, finished with a dark green exterior featuring a gold-toned trellis pattern and a pale blue interior. Also present is a tall, slender cylindrical earthenware vase decorated with a dark brown vertical drip glaze over a white ground. None of the items bear visible manufacturer’s marks. All items are marked with various adhesive labels including the lot number 19 and price stickers.
Condition report:
The items are in generally good condition consistent with age and domestic use. The cream canister and pumpkin jar appear sound with minor surface dust and adhesive residue from labels. The chrome-plated sconces exhibit minor pitting and oxidation to the metal finish. The drip-glaze vase appears to be in sound condition.
