Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A Chinese polychrome enamelled porcelain figure of a dignitary, identified as Lu Xing, the Star God of Prosperity. The figure is crafted from porcelain and decorated in a vibrant overglaze enamel palette. He is depicted in formal court attire, featuring robes intricately painted with floral sprays, scrolling foliage, and cloud motifs in shades of green, blue, iron-red, and yellow. The robes are further detailed with various diaper-pattern borders and gilded accents. He wears a traditional official’s hat with extended winged elements and holds a ruyi scepter in his right hand. The face and hands are in white porcelain with finely painted features and a long black beard. No maker’s marks or reign marks are visible on the exterior of the figure. Two adhesive auction lot labels are present: a white label numbered 15 on the beard and an orange label numbered 255 on the lower right side.

Condition report:

The figure appears to be in good overall condition. There is some minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilding and enamels, which is consistent with the age of the piece. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible from the primary photograph.
