Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A pair of cut-glass vanity jars with hallmarked sterling silver lids, consisting of one hair receiver with a central circular aperture and one powder jar. The bodies are crafted from clear glass featuring deep-cut geometric and starburst patterns. The sterling silver lids are decorated in the Art Nouveau style with repoussé floral motifs depicting irises with sinuous, trailing stems and foliage. The lids bear a vertical series of Birmingham hallmarks, including the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor city mark, and the date letter l for 1910. A maker’s mark is present but is not clearly legible.

Condition report:

The items are in good overall condition. The glass bodies are clear and free from significant chips, cracks, or internal clouding. The silver lids show natural tarnishing and light surface scratches consistent with age and use. Both lids have adhesive orange price stickers attached.
