Lot 634: An 18 Carat Yellow Gold and Jadeite Four Blessings Link Bracelet
This link bracelet is constructed from 18 carat yellow gold and features four polished cylindrical bars of pale-to-medium green jadeite. The jade sections alternate with four openwork gold panels, each representing one of the traditional Chinese Four Blessings: Fu (Fortune), Lu (Prosperity), Kang (Health), and Shou (Longevity). The piece is secured by an integrated box clasp with a figure-of-eight safety catch for additional security. The reverse of the clasp is clearly stamped with the 750 and 18K fineness marks. The bracelet is presented in a black rectangular jewellery case with a white fabric interior.
Condition report:
The bracelet is in very good condition overall. The gold components show fine surface scratches and swirls consistent with light use and age. The jadeite bars are intact and retain a high polished lustre, with no visible chips, cracks, or fractures. The clasp and safety catch are in good working order and function securely.
