Lot 615: A Collection of Venetian-Style Millefiori and Faceted Glass Bead Costume Jewellery
A collection of assorted glass bead costume jewellery, predominantly featuring Venetian-style millefiori beads. The lot comprises several styles of necklaces, including multiple strands of multi-coloured millefiori glass beads of varying sizes and shapes. Also present are “rosary-style” necklaces where faceted cobalt blue, amethyst-toned, and clear glass beads are joined by individual white metal links. The collection further includes graduated strands of opaque lavender and cream-coloured glass beads. The items are constructed using molded, faceted, and lampworked glass beads with base metal connectors and clasps. No maker’s marks or hallmarks are visible on any of the beads or metal components. The items are presented in a purple fabric-covered jewellery box with a vibrant pink lining.
Condition report:
The items are in a used condition and are currently tangled. The glass beads appear generally intact with some minor surface wear and occasional small chips consistent with age and handling. The metal components show some surface oxidation and tarnishing. The storage box shows light external wear.
