A mid-20th-century armchair and matching side table constructed from white painted woven fibre over a frame, in the style of Lloyd Loom and likely of British origin. The occasional armchair features a high, curved wrap-around back with low, integrated arms. It is fitted with a loose, thick square seat cushion upholstered in a red damask-patterned fabric. The chair is supported by four splayed, tapered white painted legs. The matching side table or bedside cabinet features a rectangular top with a decorative braided edge. Below the top is an open storage shelf, and at the base is a single cupboard door with a small metal knob. Both items are finished in white paint. No maker marks or labels are visible to the exterior.
Condition report:
Generally in fair condition, showing minor scuffing, paint loss, and surface wear consistent with age and use. The upholstery on the seat cushion shows some light wear and surface marks.
