A group of three decorative items comprising a Smiths mantel clock and two ceramic figures. The clock is housed in a light-coloured wooden case of mid-century modern geometric design with a curved top and base. The circular brushed metal dial is marked Smiths and features applied gilt-toned Arabic numerals at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions with baton indices for the remaining hours. The dial face is further inscribed Electronic and Battery below the centre arbor, indicating the type of movement. It is fitted with black hour and minute hands and a central sweep seconds hand. The lot includes a ceramic figure of a heavy horse, likely a Shire or Clydesdale, finished in a brown glaze with white markings and fitted with a black and red working harness including metal chain details. Accompanying these is a stylised black ceramic piggy bank decorated with white polka dots and a green eye.
Condition report:
The items are in used condition. The clock case shows minor surface wear and scuffing consistent with age. Adhesive price and identification stickers are present on all items and may require careful removal. The electronic clock movement is untested and is sold as seen. Ceramic figures show no immediate signs of significant damage or repair from visual inspection.
