Lot 47: A Collection of Pale Blue Pressed Glass Including a Vanity Set and a Fluted Bowl
A collection of pale blue pressed glass items, likely dating from the mid-20th century and in the style of Depression glass. The collection includes a five-piece dressing table or vanity set comprising a rectangular tray with rounded corners and a raised scalloped rim, two circular lidded trinket jars, a central ring tree, and a single candlestick. These pieces are decorated with a molded floral pattern featuring roses and foliage set within geometric line borders. Also included is a large, shallow circular bowl with deep radial fluting, a scalloped rim, and a molded sunburst motif at the centre of the base. The glass is a uniform pale aquamarine hue throughout. No manufacturer’s marks or signatures are visible on any of the pieces.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good vintage condition. No significant chips, cracks, or repairs are visible. There is some minor surface scratching consistent with age and occasional manufacturing bubbles and inclusions typical of pressed glass production.
