A mid-20th century coffee table in the Spanish Revival style, featuring a rectangular top with an inset tooled leather panel. The leather is decorated with a central map of Spain, a compass rose to the left, and a stylized animal motif to the upper centre. The design is enclosed within a stamped Greek key border. The table is constructed from a stained hardwood frame and is supported by four turned baluster legs terminating in square block feet, joined by a low stretcher base. No maker’s marks are visible. Two small paper labels on the front edge are printed with the numbers 19 19 and 351.
Condition report:
The table is in used condition with wear consistent with age. The leather top exhibits significant surface cracking, staining, and scuffing, most notably across the central map section. The wooden frame and legs show minor scuffs and surface marks consistent with domestic use.
