Lot 329: A Regency Hampers Woven Willow Picnic Hamper and Interior Wooden Box
A traditional picnic hamper by Regency Hampers, Cheltenham, constructed from woven willow. The basket features dark leather fastening straps with metal buckles and a central leather carry handle. The interior of the lid is decorated with a wide gold-tone ribbon printed with the manufacturer’s name, crest, and a script letter ‘R’. The lid is supported by twin metal stay chains. Contained within the hamper is a dark wood-finish storage box. A black rectangular label on the exterior front also bears the Regency Hampers name and crest.
Condition report:
The hamper is in good used condition with light surface wear to the willow and some minor creasing to the leather components. There is some light dust present to the interior and the wooden box. Two adhesive stickers, one orange and one white, are present on the interior components.
