This lot comprises three framed decorative items. The first is a decorative map of the Isle of Man, produced as a print on a reflective metallic foil ground to create a silvered effect. The map is surrounded by an ornamental border featuring Gothic architectural motifs, figures of knights in armour, and heraldic shields including the Triskelion of Man. It is presented in a wide, ornate gilt composition frame with a dark green mount. The second item is an impressionistic landscape painting, executed in oil or acrylic on board. The scene depicts a stone ruin, possibly an abbey or cathedral, viewed through a screen of trees with visible, textured brushwork. It is housed in a traditional gilt frame with a fabric-covered slip and bears a small label numbered 22 to the upper left. The third item is a botanical watercolor study on paper depicting sprigs of lavender. The work is signed R ESTAPA and dated 2002 to the upper right corner. It is set in a simple dark green painted wooden frame.
Condition report:
The metallic map print exhibits characteristic surface oxidation and silvering consistent with the medium; the frame shows minor age-related wear and small chips to the gilt finish. The landscape painting appears in good condition; the frame and fabric slip show light surface marks and scuffing. The botanical watercolor shows minor cockling or rippling to the paper under the glass; the frame has light wear to the painted finish.
