Lot 312: G. Müller, Two Children with Bouquets of Roses, Chromolithograph
A colour lithograph, specifically a chromolithograph, depicting two young children standing side-by-side. Each child holds a large bouquet of roses in shades of pink and red. The child on the left has blonde hair and is wearing a yellow patterned smock. The child on the right has dark hair and is wearing a brown smock over a white blouse. Both are shown in white socks and dark buckled shoes. The print is plate-signed G. Müller in the lower right corner. Below the signature, in the bottom right margin, is the printed text N.K. 2005/1824. The artwork is presented in a dark-stained wooden frame under glass.
Condition report:
The paper exhibits noticeable age-related toning and foxing throughout the sheet. There is a prominent water stain or discolouration in the lower-left corner. The wooden frame shows minor surface wear and abrasions. A lot sticker is present on the upper right corner of the frame.
