Lot 3: A Set of Mid-Century Modern Metalware Attributed to Picquot Ware on a Matching Tray

The auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A set of mid-century modern metalware attributed to the British manufacturer Picquot Ware. The collection comprises a tall lidded coffee pot, a rounded lidded teapot, a lidded sugar bowl, and an open cream jug. Each piece is crafted from a polished, silvery-toned metal alloy and features dark-stained wooden handles and lid finials. The items are displayed on a rectangular serving tray with wooden handles and a light-coloured laminate base. The streamlined, minimalist forms are characteristic of the magnalium alloy ware designed by Jean Picquot in the mid-20th century. No maker’s marks are visible on the upper surfaces or within the provided view. Several pieces have orange adhesive labels attached.

Condition report:

The service shows signs of wear consistent with age and regular use. Surface scratches, minor scuffs, and light tarnishing are visible across the metal bodies. The wooden components appear structurally sound. The tray shows light surface wear and minor scuffing to the metal trim. Adhesive residue may remain upon removal of the price labels.
