Lot 296: Vernon Ward, The Armed Knight, Land's End, Cornwall
A mid-20th century framed print titled The Armed Knight, Land’s End, after the painting by the British artist Vernon Ward (1905-1985). The scene depicts the dramatic Cornish coastline with seagulls gathered on steep, craggy cliffs overlooking a turbulent sea of turquoise and deep blue. The work is signed VERNON WARD in the lower right corner. The print is mounted on board and presented in a light-coloured wooden shadow-box style frame. Two adhesive auction labels are visible on the front: a white label marked 12 12 in the lower left and a yellow label marked 296 in the upper right.
Condition report:
The work is in good overall condition. The image surface appears stable with no visible signs of damage or significant fading. The frame shows minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age. Some light surface dirt may be present.
