Lot 218: A Silver Cross Coach-Built Baby Pram
A vintage coach-built baby pram by Silver Cross. The pram features a royal blue painted metal body with a contrasting navy blue fabric hood and matching apron. The interior is lined with a cream-coloured material. The carriage is mounted on a chrome-finished metal chassis featuring C-spring suspension. It is fitted with four spoked wheels, with the rear wheels being larger in diameter than the front wheels, all finished with solid white rubber tires. The cream-coloured handle grip is embossed with the manufacturer’s name, Silver Cross.
Condition report:
The pram is in good vintage condition, showing signs of age and use. There are minor scuffs and small chips to the blue paintwork on the body. The chrome-finished chassis and wheel spokes exhibit some surface wear and light oxidation. The solid white rubber tires show typical yellowing and surface cracking consistent with age. The fabric hood and apron are intact, though the interior lining shows some light discolouration.
