Lot 204: Royal Crown Derby Imari Bone China Quail Paperweight
A Royal Crown Derby fine bone china paperweight, modelled as a quail. The piece is hand-decorated in the traditional Imari palette, featuring intricate patterns in cobalt blue and iron red, highlighted with extensive gold detailing. The base features a red factory backstamp consisting of a crown above an interlaced D monogram, surrounded by the words Royal Crown Derby and English Bone China. It includes the Roman numeral date code LV, signifying a production year of 1992. The underside also bears hand-painted marks including a green p and the number 47 in red. The item is fitted with a silver-coloured metal stopper embossed with the factory mark, which indicates it was sold as a factory second.

The item appears to be in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or restoration. The gilding remains bright and well-preserved. There is an orange auction lot sticker numbered 204 adhered to the side of the body.
