Space Ray Gun attributed to KO Yoshiya, Japan. The rifle is constructed from lithographed tinplate with a translucent green plastic muzzle. The design includes a blue body with white scrollwork, a red and blue barrel with port details, and a stock featuring a lithographed wood-grain effect. The stock is marked with the text Space Ray Gun in a stylized cursive script, positioned above an atomic symbol logo with a central winged insignia. The collection also includes a section of a lithographed tinplate tank track marked U.S.A. M-15, a tinplate toy marked ATOMIC RIFLE, and a gold-tone pistol grip toy.
Condition report:
The items are in fair to good vintage condition with signs of age and use. The Space Ray Gun shows visible surface oxidation and rusting, particularly along the join between the red and blue body sections. There are scuffs, scratches, and minor paint loss to the lithographed finishes of all components. A modern orange price sticker is adhered to the blue section of the ray gun near the stock. The plastic muzzle appears intact. The internal mechanisms are untested.
