March timed auction
Lot 73:
A group of seven clear glass tablewares featuring various cutting and etching techniques. The collection includes a substantial lead crystal jug with deep-cut geometric patterns, large star motifs, and fine diamond cross-hatching. Also present is a footed vase or celery glass decorated with cut star and fan motifs, and a small oval relish dish with deep diamond cutting and a serrated rim. A rectangular tray with twin integral loop handles features a geometric pattern in the Daisy and Button style. The group further comprises a small circular bowl with a delicate etched floral and foliate border, a small glass candlestick with a scalloped rim and faceted base, and a faceted glass decorative object with a green glass inclusion at the base. The designs are consistent with 20th-century production, with some elements reflecting the American Brilliant Period style. No manufacturer marks are visible; secondary orange and white inventory labels are attached to the pieces.
The items are generally clear and free from significant clouding. No major chips or cracks are visible. Minor flea bites and small nicks are present on the sharp edges of the cut patterns, consistent with age and use.
