March timed auction
Lot 59:
A set of five clear glass vessels in the Carmen pattern, attributed to Walther Glas of West Germany. These items are designed as epergne flutes or small decorative vases. Each piece is constructed with a wide, flared, and ruffled rim that tapers to a narrow neck and terminates in a rounded, bulbous base. The body of each vessel is decorated with a repeating symmetrical white scrolled foliate or fleur-de-lis motif. The glass is transparent and colourless. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on the items. Each piece bears an orange rectangular inventory sticker with the handwritten number 59. The form is reminiscent of late 19th-century Victorian epergne components.
The set is in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. Minor surface dust and light wear are present, consistent with age and use.
