Lot 359: A Collection of Framed Prints and Artworks, 20th Century
A collection of framed artworks featuring various subjects and media. The group includes a monochromatic print on paper depicting a rugged landscape, inscribed with the title The Children of the Mist in the lower right margin, set within a wide cream mount and a dark frame. Also included is a cityscape print in a watercolour style depicting the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, rendered in cool blue and grey tones, with the inscription PARIS. L Arc de Triomphe in the bottom margin, presented in a gold-toned frame. A third work depicts a country cottage with a thatched roof, housed in a green-toned frame with a gilded inner edge. The collection further comprises several other artworks in a variety of gilded and dark wood frames.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in generally good condition. There is minor surface wear and light scratching to some frame edges consistent with age and handling. Dust and reflections are visible on the glazing. The works have not been examined out of their frames.
