Lot 100:
A four-piece earthenware dressing table or vanity set in the style of Corona Ware by S. Hancock and Sons, featuring a monochrome transfer-printed design. The set comprises a large tray, two lidded boxes, and one open octagonal base. The decoration consists of white and grey-toned floral motifs, including peonies and roses, set against a solid black ground. The pieces feature chamfered rectangular and octagonal forms with gilded rims and a foliate border design. No maker marks are visible on the bases of these items.
The interior of the open octagonal base shows significant crazing and brownish staining. There is visible wear to the gilding on the rims of all pieces. Small nicks are present on the upper edge of the open base. The set includes auction lot stickers, including two orange stickers marked 100 and a white sticker marked 18 18.
