Lot 85: An Assortment of Decorative Ceramics, Metalware, and Household Items
A collection of various household and decorative objects contained within a cardboard lot box. The ceramic items include a bulbous vase with hand-painted abstract polychrome decoration in blue, yellow, and red; a circular plate with a yellow and green checkered border; a cream-glazed jug; and two nested white bowls. The metalware consists of a silver-toned tankard, a small flared measure, and a circular dark-toned baking pan with a textured base. Also included is a wooden-handled mallet and a selection of books, with titles focusing on classic steam locomotives. No maker’s marks, signatures, or backstamps are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items are in generally fair used condition. Visible surface wear, scratches, and marks are present across the collection, consistent with age and domestic use. The metal baking pan shows significant darkening and signs of use. The books exhibit wear to the covers and spines. No major chips or cracks are visible on the ceramic pieces from the current orientation.
