Lot 591: A European style fixed blade hunting knife with stag horn handle and leather sheath
A fixed blade hunting knife of traditional European design. The handle is constructed from stag horn and features a decorative metal inset depicting a leaping stag. It is fitted with a metal crossguard and a matching metal pommel. The knife is accompanied by a brown leather sheath with a retaining strap, metal rivets, and stitched edges. A white adhesive label with the numbers 2 9 2 9 is adhered to the front of the sheath. No manufacturer marks or tang stamps are visible as the blade is housed within the sheath.
Condition report:
The knife and sheath are in used condition. There is visible tarnish and oxidation on the metal crossguard and the rivets of the leather sheath. The leather shows signs of wear, including surface scuffing and creasing. The stag horn handle appears intact. The blade is currently sheathed, so the edge condition and sharpening wear cannot be assessed.
