Lot 560: An Assortment of Vintage Silver and White Metal Jewellery including an Edward VII Coin Pendant
A collection of vintage white metal jewellery including several brooches and a pendant. The items include a brooch set with a large oval purple cabochon, appearing to be amethyst, in a decorative white metal mount. A circular brooch in the Scottish style is set with multiple multi-coloured cabochon stones of various hues. A bar brooch features three rectangular-cut purple stones in simple bezel settings. Other pieces include a square amber-coloured stone and an oval turquoise-coloured cabochon, both in white metal frames. A central pendant features a silver coin with the inscription EDWARDVS VII D G BRITT OMN REX F D, indicating the coin is from the reign of King Edward VII. The metal appears to be silver, though no purity hallmarks or maker’s marks are clearly legible.
Condition report:
The items exhibit surface oxidation, tarnish, and wear consistent with age and use. There are minor abrasions to some stones and light scratching to the metal surfaces.
