Lot 557: Art Deco Silver Travel Clock Attributed to Asprey
A Swiss-made Art Deco travel or desk clock featuring a rectangular polished white metal case with rounded rear edges. The circular white dial is set within a recessed aperture and features bold, black, radially-oriented Arabic numerals. It includes an inner minute track with diamond-shaped five-minute markers and two black hands. The dial is marked SWISS at the 6 o’clock position. The movement is mechanical with external adjustment and winding knobs located on the side and base. The form and style of this piece are consistent with examples retailed by Asprey.
Condition report:
The case exhibits significant age-related pitting and oxidation. The dial shows prominent cracking and crazing, particularly across the right-hand side. The movement is untested and the working order is not guaranteed.
