Lot 524: The Beatles Help! Mono Vinyl Record Sleeve, Parlophone UK Pressing
This is an original United Kingdom mono vinyl record sleeve for the fifth studio album by The Beatles, titled Help!, originally released in 1965. The front of the sleeve features the artist name THE BEATLES printed vertically in black sans-serif uppercase letters along the left edge, followed by the word mono. The lower-left corner contains the Parlophone and EMI circular logos, with the text THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD. and ONE OF THE EMI GROUP OF COMPANIES. The album title HELP! is printed in red serifed uppercase letters. The cover art depicts the band members in semaphore poses. This lot comprises the outer sleeve only; no vinyl record or inner sleeve is present.
Condition report:
The sleeve is in fair condition with evidence of age and handling. There is notable yellowing and foxing across the white background. The edges show heavy wear, specifically the right-hand opening edge which has fraying, small tears, and loss of the surface laminate. Creasing is visible across the corners and along the spine. An orange adhesive sticker with the printed characters 524 is located in the upper right quadrant.
