An assortment of 20th century and contemporary hand tools and household items. The collection includes a claw hammer featuring a wooden handle with a red painted base, a black plastic mitre box, and a hand-cranked drill with a black frame and red internal gears. Also present is a handsaw with a grey and black plastic handle, a metal G-clamp, and a yellow retractable tape measure. The lot further contains a long straight-edge tool, possibly a spirit level, wrapped in white protective film, and a cream-glazed stoneware hot water bottle of traditional rounded form with a screw-top opening. The stoneware bottle bears faint, illegible impressed marks on the shoulder. The entire collection is contained within a flexible lime green plastic trug with integrated handles, which carries a red adhesive label marked 482 and small white labels marked 2020.
Condition report:
The items are in a used, as-found state. Surface oxidation and wear are visible on the metal tool components, consistent with workshop use. The stoneware bottle shows light surface abrasions but appears structurally sound. The plastic trug displays scuffing and remains functional. All tools are untested for working order.
