A tall Chinese-style pedestal or jardiniere stand constructed from a dense reddish-brown hardwood. The rectangular top features an inset panel and a moulded edge. The apron is decorated with pierced openwork carving depicting stylised key-fret patterns and a central Shou character, a traditional symbol for longevity. The stand is supported by four square-section legs joined near the base by humpback stretchers. No maker’s marks or reign marks are present. Two modern inventory stickers are adhered to the side.
