A rectangular wooden wall clock of late 19th-century design, constructed in the style of an American cottage or shelf clock. The case is fashioned from a light-coloured wood, possibly pine, featuring a wide mitred frame. The circular dial displays a black Roman numeral chapter ring, two winding arbors indicating a two-train mechanical movement, ornate black hands, and decorative scrollwork spandrels at the corners. Positioned adjacent to the dial is a decorative rectangular glass panel containing a central pictorial vignette of a child in 19th-century attire. This central image is framed by gold-toned geometric and foliate borders set against a black and pink background. No maker marks or signatures are visible on the dial or the exterior of the case. The dial bears a small white adhesive label with the numbers 6 6, and an orange auction sticker numbered 431 is attached to the frame.
Condition report:
The movement is untested and its mechanical functionality is not guaranteed. The wooden case exhibits signs of age-related wear, including minor scuffs, scratches, and surface marks. Adhesive labels are present on the dial and the outer frame.
