Lot 393: A Trio of Vintage Consumer Electronics including a Casio Digital Diary and a Maxim Portable Radio
A trio of late 20th-century consumer electronics. The lot includes a Casio SF-8000 Digital Diary personal organiser, housed in its original retail box. The unit features a 64KB memory capacity and a QWERTY keyboard. Also included is a Maxim portable AM/FM radio, constructed from black textured plastic with a horizontal analog slide-rule tuning scale. This is a solid-state transistor device. Completing the lot is an electronic chess computer featuring a silver-toned and black plastic cabinet with an 8×8 coordinate-marked grid. The control panel includes buttons for Tutor, Sound, Hint, and Style. The chessboard is marked with a capital N to the lower right corner and is accompanied by a How To Rate Yourself instruction pamphlet.
Condition report:
The Casio Digital Diary is contained within its original cardboard box which shows significant wear, including tearing and crushing. The Maxim radio shows signs of regular use to the plastic cabinet. The electronic chessboard exhibits minor surface wear consistent with age. All items in this lot are sold as seen and remain untested for functionality.
