A collection of landscape and topographical prints featuring various intaglio techniques including etching and engraving. The group includes a hand-coloured etching depicting a picturesque wooded landscape with a weathered tree in the left foreground and figures with livestock on a winding path leading toward a distant town. This featured print shows a high-quality impression with fine, detailed line work in the foliage, though no signature, edition numbering, or publisher information is visible on the exposed portion of the sheet. Also present is a view of Katwijk aan Zee attributed to Charles J. Watson R.E. (1846-1927), inscribed as painted in 1889, and a topographical view of Drusllwyn Castle attributed to Michael Angelo Rooker (1743-1801). An additional framed engraving depicts St. Osyth’s Priory, dated circa 1834. The works are presented in modern cream card mounts, which currently obscure the plate marks and sheet edges. Inscriptions on the mounts and labels provide titles and artist attributions.
Plate marks and sheet sizes obscured by mounts.
Condition report:
The prints exhibit signs of age including general toning to the paper. Significant foxing is visible in the sky area of the wooded landscape etching. Some items are protected by plastic wrap and remain in generally stable condition within their mounts. Mounts appear modern.
